Arrival/A Place To Call Home

"Here we are," said Roxy, helping Max over the hill. Several kids, most their age, some older, some younger. A centaur padded over to them, & the campers looked surprised as Roxy & Max didn't even notice. They just sat down & took some snacks out of a picnic basket, Roxy's clothes torn & distressed, the way she liked them. "Welcome," said the centaur, surprising Max & Roxy. "Who are you?" asked Roxy politely. "I am Roxy Parker & this is Maximum Montez." "I am Chiron. Trainer of heroes." "The one from the stories?" Roxy looked almost scared, but it didn't really show. She whispered something, & suddenly she had large beautiful wings & a new outfit. Her new clothes were still distressed, but she still got a good reaction from the crowd.

Jolene staggered over the hill behind Roxy. "We`re here???" she asked, pulling up beside her friend.

"Yeah. Definitely here," said Roxy, grinning. SUddenly, she was covered in a pink haze. Everyone was staring at her. Her clothes changed from distressed to a long gown. She yelped. "Who is doing this?" she asked. Chiron spoke. "Hail Roxy Parker, Daughter of Aphrodite, Lady of the Doves."

"I thought so." Jolene grinned back at her friend. "You always were a drama queen." she joked. "Whose daughter am I???" she wondered aloud.

"Okay, who the heck is doing this?" asked Roxy, lookign around at everybody. Max tapped her shoulder. "I don't think they're fairies, Roxy. Thy're demigods," said Max.

IC: Jolene grinned again, and looked over at the camp. Severall kids were sitting in the shade, while some played volleyball, and others were practicing archery. "This place is so big!!!" she exclaimed, looking into the forest.

"It is," agreed Roxy, calming down. "Yes, it is," said Chiron the centaur.
